First ever Filterra bioretention in Moreton Bay Region

Check out the photo of a recently installed Filterra bioretention system – taken by Ocean Protect’s Peter Worth at one of our projects in Burpengary, Queensland – the first ever Filterra bioretention system within the Moreton Bay Regional Council LGA.

The Filterra bioretention has a filter area 24 square metres, which is over four (4) times smaller than the alternative ‘conventional’ bioretention system option (with a filter area of 100 square metres) that would have otherwise been required to achieve the given State Planning Policy pollutant load removal targets.
