Filterra bioretention for City of Kingston

Ocean Protect installed a Filterra bioretention for City of Kingston in January 2023 at Keeley Park, Clayton South, Victoria. Council originally installed a (170 m2) traditional bioretention system in 2016 to act as a combined retarding basin, however it didn’t perform as intended. The preferred solution involved constructing a smaller (51m2) Filterra System in combination with a separate flood storage basin. Ocean Protect’s Lily Doraj recently inspected the Filterra system.
