Installing an OceanSave® amid bright blue skies at Sydney’s latest neighbourhood centre, Stockland’s Gables Town Centre.
In August 2024, Ocean Protect installed a custom OceanSave® system with a built-in oil baffle and two outlets, one going out to a lake and the other to a bioretention basin. We worked with Consultant Enspire Solutions, in conjunction with Ken Hale Plumbing and builder Mainbrace constructions, who are involved in the construction of Stockland’s latest project Gables Town Centre; a new concept neighbourhood town centre, specially built within their master planned community.
The site will eventually host a full-line Woolworths supermarket, dining precinct, childcare centre, a medical facility, pharmacy, gym and range of several specialty stores. Alongside this large-scale neighbourhood centre will be 75ha of green space, a 4ha lake and 16km of planned cycle and pathways, plus parks, schools and childcare centres.
This OceanSave® will be kept busy protecting the lake and bioretention basin from polluted stormwater, ensuring healthier water quality and a cleaner environment for its residents.
