The two versions of the OceanGuard have different installation procedures, but both versions are easily differentiated from each other. The new OceanGuard is delivered in a cardboard box and has a black, plastic filtration cage.  The previous version of the OceanGuard is not provided in a cardboard box, and has a metal split ring and metal filtration cage (if present).
