In this video, Ocean Protect’s Michael Wicks inspects one of the Filterra® bioretention systems at Silverdale in Western Sydney, NSW – shortly after a significant rainfall event within the catchment. This Filterra® bioretention system has a total filter area of 530m2 and is one of two that was installed in June 2020, over 4 years ago. Mike shows the incoming flows from the rainfall event, the system draining, and the OceanGuard gully pit insert installed within one of the overflow pits.
