Sales Manager - Victoria
We are looking for a Business Development Manager/Account Manager based from our Cheltenham office in Melbourne. This role will focus on building strong connections with our existing clients as well as seeking new sales opportunities across Victoria. Reporting to the Southern Region Manager, you will be instrumental throughout the whole sales process; addressing technical sales activities, working closely with prospective clients, qualifying and building a sales pipeline.

Position Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years work experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or Account Manager.
- Demonstrated and verifiable skills in preparing proposals, presentations, internal and external reports.
- An aptitude for technical skills; the ability to read, interpret and understand technical specifications and drawings.
- A background or degree in civil engineering will be highly regarded, but not essential.
- Industry experience an advantage or a sound trade/construction background.
- Hold a current driver’s licence.
- The legal right to work in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and meet with customers to further build relationships.
- Engage Ocean Protect engineering support and other presales staff to prepare a solution for the customer.
- Identify key decision makers within the customer’s organisation.
- Prepare customer proposals and presentations and have them reviewed/accepted by National Sales Manager.
- Read, interpret and understand technical specifications and drawings.
- Track all business opportunities by revenue.
- Monitor project progress and maintain contact with the client to gauge customer satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with clients, staff and manage customer expectations.
- Attend construction sites to provide customer guidance in relation to Ocean Protect’s product offering.
- Plan and present Ocean Protect initiatives to the customer.
- Promote Ocean Protect capabilities, service offerings and products.
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Identify new product and service areas where we could participate, with some investment and the preparation of a proposal with a business case.
- Demonstrate management skills through professional leadership.
