The Biggest Filterra® Bioretention in Queensland

In this video, Ocean Protect’s Brad Dalrymple shows the (now) biggest Filterra® bioscape in Queensland – with a filter area of 335 square metres.

This is one of two (2) Filterra® bioscapes at this site in Heritage Park, Queensland. Whilst this is a large Filterra® bioscape, a traditional bioretention system (sized to achieve the same State Planning Policy pollutant load removal targets) would have been 1886 square metres (about 5.6 times larger), which would have been highly impractical (and with a much larger cost).

The design of the Filterra bioscapes was undertaken in collaboration with van der Meer Consulting.
