From PO to Site in Days: Rapid Delivery of a Jellyfish® 900 System

Jellyfish Delivery

When time is tight and access is limited on-site, responsiveness matters, but years of experience are what get the job done. On this job, our Victorian team, particularly our Southern Region Manager Damien Egan, leveraged decades of hands-on experience to turn a Jellyfish® 900 system around in a matter of days — manufacturing, dispatching, and delivering it to site within the same week.

The Challenge

The site itself presented practical constraints. The treatment pit was located at the back corner of the property, with no access for large machinery. Only a 4-tonne excavator was available on site.

A conventional solution requiring heavier components or specialised lifting equipment would have slowed progress and introduced additional costs.

The Solution

Ocean Protect supplied a Jellyfish® 900 (1–1 Segmental) system, manufactured in segmental units to suit restricted-access sites.

Each component weighed less than 1,100 kg, allowing the contractor to install the system directly from truck to ground using the machinery already available on site.

Unlike flexible fibreglass alternatives, the Jellyfish® system is structurally rigid. This eliminates the need for concrete encasement, stabilised backfills, or additional structural support — simplifying installation and reducing time on site.

Importantly, Ocean Protect installs the treatment cartridge only once the surrounding works are complete. This ensures the system is handed over clean, unused, and ready to perform.

Rapid Turnaround, Zero Compromise

The result was a significantly accelerated delivery and installation programme. From PO receipt to site delivery in under a week, the project avoided delays and maintained momentum.

Beyond speed, the Jellyfish® 900 delivered what it is designed to do — cost-effective, high-quality stormwater treatment, with strong structural performance and long-term reliability.
