Engineering for Indirect Screening: A Site-Specific OceanSave® Installation

Not every stormwater project fits a standard solution. When a new installation in Donnybrook, VIC called for a gross pollutant trap with indirect screening technology, it was clear from the outset that the design would need to be purpose-built for the conditions on site.

The Challenge

The GPT had to carry a W80 live load. This meant that the solution needed to be rigid, robust, and engineered specifically for the demands of this project.

The Solution

Ocean Protect designed two site-specific OceanSave® GPTs, manufactured at our Dandenong factory and delivered ready for installation.

As a rigid, precast concrete system with CDS technology, OceanSave® is well-suited to carrying a W80 live load without the need for additional in situ concrete, a load-bearing slab, or the strict installation tolerances that a flexible structure demands, making it the right fit for this project on every level.
