One System, Multiple Sites: Jellyfish® 900 in Action

Across two very different projects, a school redevelopment and a multi-dwelling project, the priority was the same: deliver an effective stormwater treatment solution that could be installed quickly using available site equipment.

The Challenge

At the first site, installation needed to be completed using a 5-tonne excavator already on site, with no access to larger machinery. At the second site, the focus was on hitting treatment targets within a multi-dwelling development.

In both cases, bringing in cranes or specialised equipment would have added unnecessary cost and complexity.

The Solution

Ocean Protect supplied a Jellyfish® 900 (1–1 Segmental) system, designed to simplify installation in constrained environments.

At the first site, the segmental components were easily lifted and placed using the existing 5-tonne excavator — no additional machinery required.

At the second site, the system was delivered via a crane truck and installed directly from truck to ground, minimising handling and reducing time on site.

Across both projects, the segmental design enabled flexible installation using standard, readily available machinery.

Unlike flexible fibreglass alternatives, the Jellyfish® system is structurally rigid. This eliminates the need for concrete encasement, stabilised backfills, or additional structural support — simplifying installation and reducing time on site.

Flexible Installation, Proven Performance

The outcome was a streamlined installation process across both sites, with reduced reliance on heavy equipment and improved construction efficiency.

In both applications, the Jellyfish® 900 delivered a cost-effective stormwater treatment solution, achieving key performance targets for TSS, phosphorus, and nitrogen removal, proving that flexibility on site doesn’t mean compromising on performance.
