When the brief called for three separate UrbanPond™ systems — an 8 Module, a 13 Module, and a 3 Module — to be installed across a single site, it was clear from the outset that meticulous planning would be the difference between a smooth day on site and a costly one.
The Challenge
Coordinating the installation of three systems at once meant every moving part had to be perfectly aligned. Crane lift times needed to be scheduled around site access windows, set-out locations confirmed well in advance, and all systems delivered and staged in exactly the right sequence.
On top of that, the manufacturing side had to keep pace. Crane bookings don’t wait, and producing three systems to hit a fixed delivery window and manage site restraints meant there was simply no room for delays.
The Solution
From the start, communication was front and centre. The team worked closely with the crane company to lock in logistics early and ensure nothing was left to chance on installation day. Internally, production was carefully scheduled to meet the crane dates without hold-ups. On site, a pre-planned layout and sequencing approach allowed the crew to move methodically through each system, minimising downtime between lifts and keeping the installation running efficiently from start to finish.
Lifted and Locked In
All three UrbanPond™ systems were installed on time, on schedule, and without incident. It’s a result that came down to the groundwork done well before the install: tight planning, strong contractor relationships, and a crew that knew exactly what needed to happen and when.
