AWA Journal Paper on StormFilter NPSorb Technology

AWA Research Paper

The study “Stormwater solids and nutrient removal in a radial flow cartridge system: Field evaluation of a new innovation in stormwater treatment” was recently published in the Australian Water Association: Water e-Journal. The journal paper is available here.

The paper was written by Ocean Protect’s Brad Dalrymple, Michael Wicks, Blake Allingham and Warren Jones, Professor Ataur Rahman from the University of Western Sydney, and James Lenhart from Stormwater Northwest. It describes the results of a field-scale study of the StormFilter® NPSorb technology at Western Sydney, NSW.

After over 30 years of Research & Development and over 40,000 StormFilter® cartridges installed within Australia (and over 280,000 installed overseas), the StormFilter® technology continues to be proven as one of the most (if not the most) effective and resilient stormwater treatment technologies on the planet — to better protect our oceans and waterways.  This is the sixth published study of the StormFilter® technology — with StormFilter® NPSorb being its latest innovation to enhance nutrient removal. This study was also reviewed by Stormwater Australia SQIDEP reviewers as part of the SQIDEP verification for the StormFilter® NPSorb technology (available here).
