All single-use plastics to be banned in Queensland

Queensland has become the second state, after South Australia, to ban the sale and supply of single-use plastic products. The Queensland parliament has passed legislation to ban single-use plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery and plates along with polystyrene foam food containers and cups from 1 September 2021.
